Matt has been a registered psychologist for 20 years and has worked as an organisational psychologist in managerial and consultancy roles in both Australia and PNG providing direction for individual goals, organisational processes and healthcare standards. Matt has been an ongoing member of the Australian Psychological Society since his Honours year at the Uni of Queensland in 1994.

With a need to create more balance in life and stop bad habits, over the past years Matt has transitioned into an individual focused therapist with a client-centred approach where using evidence based techniques he enjoys seeing the dramatic changes in each client’s life.


Matt also consults at The Heath Retreat providing change work and guidance for clients with stress, anxiety, depression, phobias and drug dependencies.


Matt is in his 40’s, with three children and understands the pressures that modern life can impose.  Matt moved from Brisbane to the amazing Sunshine Coast Hinterland in 2014. Matt practices Tai chi and Qi gong as part of his daily routine. 



But most importantly Matt has many life experiences and challenges he has also worked through himself.


Matt has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology and a Masters in Organisational Psychology.


He also has a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Diploma in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) from the wonderful Academy of Advanced Change Work, Accredited Quantum Consciousness Facilitator, Certified NLP Practitioner (American Union of NLP) and has completed Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Training (MBCT).


Matt is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS), Clinical Member of the Australian Hypnotherapy Association and registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency PSY0000947215).
